Default Wow. Miami already has 18 - 2016 commits

Almost double the next team. Do they always come out of the gate so early and with so many? I've always read how people in So. Fla. want to be offered by the Canes from early in their careers. So far it looks like all of them are from the state.

They are trying to protect their back and front yard. Golden is making a statement that he is keeping the talent in the area home.

That class won't hold up because they will not have a good year. Perryman, Dorsett, Johnson, Chickilo, Walford...they lost a lot and did not seem to have the depth that could step in. And Golden may be fired after another 6-7 win season.

Pieces like this won't help them either. It will be interesting to see how many if any of the early recruits do bail once the season starts. Assuming Golden continues to squander his talent.

There is so much talent in the South Florida area Miami could have a recruiting class in the top ten every year even if they limited their recruiting to 100 miles from Miami.

I think that it would be good for the ACC if Miami kept those recruits and got back to being relevant for the ACC and national picture. Its why the ACC brought VT and UM in and now both seem so far away from where they were.

Agree. Just don't know if it is in the cards, yet. Golden just doesn't seem to be the guy, especially if you agree with the Fox Sports writer I linked to above.
