I have four sons and one daughter.

Daughter Story #1: When my daughter was in college I knew it was a serious phone call when she said, “Dad ...” I knew it was going to cost me when she said “Daddy ...” [cha-ching]

Daughter Story #2: My daughter fussed at me when she was a freshman in college.
My daughter: “Dad, I’m not a little girl anymore.”
Me: “I know you aren’t a little girl anymore, but you are my little girl. Is there anything about that you don’t understand?”
Daughter: “Yes, Daddy.”

She is married now and lives up north but I am still protective of her.
