There could be changes in weekend rotation for South Carolina series

Clemson head coach Monte Lee was asked Tuesday about the weekend rotation for the South Carolina series.

"We are going to evaluate that after today," Lee said. "We have an intrasquad (scrimmage) today, so we are going to throw a bunch of guys that did not get a chance to touch the baseball this weekend. Then once we get through today's intrasquad, we plan on getting together, as a coaching staff, and making a decision on the rotation for this weekend. Probably by (Wednesday) is when we will make a decision on the rotation.

"There could be some changes. I would not think it is going to be an overhaul or anything like that, but there could be some changes to the rotation. We will get through today, meet as a staff tomorrow and try to make that decision going into tomorrow."

I was told Monday there might be a change. I don't see how you can go with Grice at South Carolina Sunday.

I like this approach. Keep everybody fresh and ready to be “the guy”, and promotes competition. Plus keep South Carolina guessing

My guess would be to go with Mat Clark at South Carolina on Sunday. Mat has been through the war in Columbia and knows what to expect. Not fair to Grice to put him in that situation so early in his career.
