Default Why would Laura Rutledge pick this Bama vs. Clemson game?

If you were working for the SEC Network, wouldn't the 2016 CFP National Championship Game be a better selection than the 2018 Sugar Bowl? That was the most boring game of the four Clemson vs. Alabama matchups. I understand why she would not pick the 2017 CFP NC game because Clemson won, but the Sugar Bowl?

Because it is the only 1/4 we shouldn’t have won and it makes Alabama look good. She isn’t going to show a game they lost and the 2015 Championship at the very least showed we were on an equal playing field.

Agree! When I say 2016 NC Game, that is the 2015 season--the one Alabama won. I know she would not pick the 2017 NC game (2016 season) because Clemson won. Remember CFP uses the calendar year, not the season in its title. This year it will be called the 2020 CFP National Championship Game.

It is about best games. Does she not understand what best game means? Other than Alabama fans, no one enjoyed the 2018 Sugar Bowl. It was a boring game to watch. Unless you like to watch two teams punt 21 times.

She picked because they each had a special reason for her, not because of the way the game played out on the field.

Okay, that makes sense.
